Over the years, in the beautiful heart of Istanbul, my role as a tantric yoga instructor has allowed me to understand, experience, and embrace the moments of dominance, guiding my students towards the understanding that real strength lies in vulnerability. It's an amazing transition to witness, from the first hesitant steps on the mat where control is tightly held like a precious adult linklist gold ???ÂŽ to the beautiful surrender into freedom that follows. Allowing, guiding, and coaxing my students to relinquish control and trust in their bodies, trust in themselves, has been a journey of immense personal growth.???? Harnessing this dominance, and reshaping it into freedom, is like watching a caterpillar transforming into a butterfly.
Dominance has always been an intriguing aspect in our society. The common assumption is that the one with the dominance is in control and the other is powerless. However, I have come to comprehend the inverse. In my practice, I've come to experience that dominance can be a gateway towards freedom, a freedom that comes when 'controls' are released and the body's natural flow is allowed to take over. In the ecstatic sway of the traditional Turkish belly dance ??â?, moving effortlessly with the music, I often find that individual spirit touching the cosmic, that moment where the dancer becomes the dance.
